This is the badge that was designed by Past Scout Martin Whelan to celebrate 75 years of Scouting in Abbeyside, this badge is worn by Cubs, Scouts, and Leaders with pride on their Left arm of their Uniform. This Group Badge has been used in Polo Shirts, and the Group Baseball Cap.

As the designer of the badge Martin was presented with a unique version of this badge that he reckons will be extremely valuable in years to come. His badge is unique as the background colour is Black, not the white/silver colour of the standard badge! Martin along with some help from muller also designed the Glenshellane badge which can be worn on the scout uniform. These are two impressive and much sought after badges by collectors. Have you got yours?
Martin gave away all his'Royality' rights the day he first walked into the Scout Den when he was eight. But it is with the help of people such as Martin that can help Scouting to keep on going in the Village. Great design and we wear it with Pride!
