The Cubs were asked to draw a picture that showed what was their idea of Cubs many questions were asked of the Leaders about what should be draw and ideas given included last years prize winning Saint Patrick’s Day Parade float and to think of all the things we had on that, such as Canoeing, Boating, Camping, Hiking, etc these pictures will be finished over the next few weeks and will be put up on the walls in the den for all to see.

Scout News 25/09/06
This week the meeting was to be turned over to a bit of cooking. At the start of the meeting Scouts were asked where their uniform was, those in the Scouts more than six weeks should have their full uniform at this stage. Scout Prayer started of the meeting. The patrols then went to their corners to get cooking it was just some simple food to show how long it takes to cook things properly. Roll was done by Gearoid while Brendan collected completed Membership Forms and Activity Consent Forms these should be handed in already, any Scout who does not have a copy of these forms contact the Leaders. Things moved along quickly with all the activity in the den and all the Patrols that cooked did well. As the meeting came to a close David and Kieran made sure that food was cooked properly by testing and sampling. A quick tidy up and equipment put away. There were points of note for each patrol as to things they forgot to bring, cooking oil, matches, cutlery, plates, ketchup etc. Next time guys or in the case of the Kestrel Patrol everything uniform included.
Meeting was finished with Scout Prayer.

Patrol Leaders and Assistant Patrol Leaders are reminded that there is a Court of Honour after the meeting Saturday night.
Those interested in Canoeing next month need to bring down a deposit of €5-00 for next weeks meeting.
