Cub Scout Pack - News & Information

Monday Night Cub Section Meeting

The Monday Night Cubs had a break this past Monday due to the Bank Holiday Weekend. Things are back to normal Monday 3rd November with the meeting starting at Seven and finishing at eight and is Full Uniform.

Thursday Night Cub Section Meeting

This week’s meeting began at the usual time of 7:15. Darragh lead the Cub Section in the Cub Scout Prayer. Subs were collected by Mandy as some of the late arrivals joined us. Brendan organised some relay games with a difference which involved ‘Star Jumps’, and ‘Burps’. Mandy and Claire then got the Cubs doing some painting and drawing. They were doing a mask for next week’s meeting which is fancy dress. Staying quiet while Leaders or other Cubs are talking to the Cub Section was once again dealt with and some Cubs had to spoken to a number of times during the meeting about the way they were misbehaving and disrupting the meeting delaying the running of games and activities during the meeting. Claire, Mandy, Aaron and Joe got everyone back on track drawing and colouring. The Cub Section did a small bit of ‘Drill’ before moving on to the next game of ‘Mummy’, this involved the Cub Section being divided into six teams, five teams of four and one of three. Each team was issued with three toilet rolls for this game, one team member/Cub was to pick by the rest to be the ’Mummy’ and wrapped in toilet roll, then it was up to the Leaders to pick the best ’Mummy’. Clan formation was then called for as the Cubs began to clean up around the Scout Den. Once in Clan formation everyone was given a few sweets by Mandy as a treat, the winners of the ‘Mummy’ game were given some extra sweets as a prize. Everyone was reminded that next week’s meeting is ‘Fancy Dress’ that includes everyone. Also the upcoming Waterford Scout County Cub Hike in Portlaw next Sunday November 2nd was talked about, what to wear and what to bring there will be a full notice for everyone at this coming week’s meeting. Darragh was then called on to lead everyone in the saying of the Cub Scout Prayer. The Cubs were then dismissed.
