Cub Scout Pack - News & Information
Monday Night Cub Section Meeting
The next event coming up for the Cub Section is the County Quiz which will be held in the Friary College on Dec 7th. We will be making teams and practicing for the quiz during our next few meetings.
Parents and Cubs are to note the new meeting time for Monday night meetings. The meeting will start at the usual time of 7pm but will now finish at 8.15pm. Please attend meetings on time. Cubs are also reminded that they must have Full Correct Uniform for upcoming events. Uniforms must be purchased from the Outdoor Adventure Store (Scout Shop) in Cork, they cannot be ordered from the Leaders.
Thursday Night Cub Section Meeting
Our meeting this week started with Meldan saying the Cub Scout Prayer followed by subs being taken up by assistant leader Mandy. The book reader report was done this week by J.J. followed by some relevant questions from the rest of the cub pack. A game of "Simon says" was then played with everyone which was organised by S.P.L Joe and won by Darragh McGrath. Assistant leader Mandy then tested the cub pack on their general knowledge as part of their preparation for the upcoming county quiz to be held on the first Sunday in December. This proved to be a very close contest with Darragh McGrath's clan just edging it on the night. Mandy had a special treat for the winning clan and it will be section leader's Gearoid's turn next week. A few games of dodge ball were then played before the cubs were told about some of the upcoming events such as the quiz and the group mass, Gearoid also reminded everyone about annual registration, Meldan said the final prayer and everyone was dismissed.
